Would have been longer if I hadn't trimmed it 3 times lol
    Congratulations! You made it!

Congratulations, Bat! I wish my hair growth was that obvious

That's the only good thing about a buzz seeing the obvious progress

My hair now touches the bottom of my shoulder blades while in a mid height ponytail.

I constantly sit on my hair now. It's actually driving me nuts.

We measured my ponytail circumference three times today and it consistently measured around 10 cm (~3.9 in). Before my healthy lifestyle change, and before my hair recovered from my big shed, it was around 3.15 in. I guess this is closer to my genetic maximum now, which makes sense. I suppose it’s fair that I change my stats to ii/iii.

Coincidentally, 3.15" was mine about 2 years ago when I first came here. Now it's 2.75" but I am measuring using a more accurate way now

How do you measure it? For me, an approximation is good enough.

LOL for me, approximation is never good enough, especially when it comes down to a difference in 0.25" PT circumference

Years ago, I'd put my hair in a pony tail, divide the tail into 2 and pull the sections apart to raise the elastic up as far as it would go. Then immediately below the elastic, I wrapped a string around the tail 3X, measured the total length needed and divided by 3.

There's a slight error (bigger circumference) when the string crosses over itself as it usually does.

Then I went with zip ties. They seemed really simple and almost ideal. In reality, while easy to apply, tighten, slide off, cut open, and measure, they suck. Zip ties aren't flexible enough. , they cannot conform to a circular cross section and so overestimate circumference. You want a device conforming to a circle. No other shape enclosing a given area has smaller perimeter. Don't believe zip ties are "bad"? Use one to measure a known circumference of any circular cylinder you have readily at hand, say a socket wrench.

So I use a slip knot from string. It's like a zip tie, but perfectly circular. And it doesn't involve winding around the hair either like my first measures. It just has to be drawn really tight.

But there's a possibility for BIG error here

I use *DRY* hair. Moisture expands the diameter of the hair shaft *dramatically* (up to 20%), and so increasess hte ponytail's cross sectional area by almost 45%. You can work out what that does to your PT's circumference
