A random internet search. I was looking for collecting shed hair to make a extension of my own hair after someone show me a image of how much shed in a month.

A random search. I found this place because I let my roommate bleach my hair and I couldn't figure out how to take care of it. I had never used chemicals and my hair was looking choppy and awful. It was probably APL-ish. I ended up letting my aunt chop the worst of it bringing me back to above shoulder length and used tips from here to regain thickness and save the fragile ends.

I joined a couple years ago when I decided to be a serious longhair.

The old menstrual cup thread brought me here. People on another forum talked about that thread. Never thought much about hair until I started browsing here.

My hair was at BSL and starting to get in the way, so I did a random internet search for protective hairstyles, ended up on a thread here, and lo and behold, the whole wonderful world of abnormally long hair opened up before me! Growing long hair always takes time, so a long-running forum where one drops in occasionally over years is perfect. I've always enjoyed forums and newsgroups - I don't do notifications or social media. The community at LHC really is something special. I come here to share kindness, positivity, and recipes for cheese. Never change, LHC!

Meh, I don't really remember, but I suspect it went something along the lines of;
- I was fed up with never growing past WL because my ends ended up too ratty
- que googling hair growth
- que falling down the No-poo rabbit hole
- probably found the LHC around there somewhere
