I only finger comb now. Brushes I don't use. Combs I keep around just in case.

No finger combing for me. My hair snags up and clings to my fingers. A comb glides through much more smoothly.

Voted half-and-half. I fingercomb some, and was surprised when I tried it for a few days that I can indeed get by doing it exclusively. However, I feel like I need a comb to get hair smoothly back for an updo, fingercombing takes longer, and my fingers often feel like they snag my hair more than combs do.

I finger comb all the time. It's the only way I can get the tangles out. I hardly use a comb or brush. When I don't feel like finger combing I will use my plastic comb. But 90% of the time I usually finger comb.

I voted half and half... I finger comb everytime after I shower to detangle my hair and put my leave-ins on. Usually when my hair is dry I brush it.. but I should try to finger comb more often. If I discover a bad tangle I'll usually try to finger comb it out first.

I voted half and half, because I only tend to use a comb on wash day.

    I voted other..
I tried to switch to finger combing only over and over but it just doesn't work. My hair is very thick and it requires a comb or else it tangles like hell!
I still finger comb it from time to time (just in case you're wondering why did I vote 'other' and not 'no')

I use my wooden comb unless I'm detangling. For that I fingercomb, because it's easier to detect snags and NOT pull the comb straight through them if I'm using my fingers. I know how hard or how soft to pull. So I picked half and half, even though I don't do quite as much fingercombing as regular combing.

When I do need to detangle, I use my fingers and/or my horn comb

I nearly always finger comb. I find it's more gentle on my fragile hair.
