Another self-trimmer here! I'm not adverse to the concept of going to a salon, but I kind of view the trimming my hair the same way I view my manicures/pedicures - sure I could have someone else do it for me but since I *can* do it myself why *wouldn't* I do it myself?

I'm rather a diy type by nature so trimming my own hair just feels natural to me

Salon - I've been going there for nearly 10 years but I started with one stylist but when she went on maternity leave (about 2012) the other stylist started doing it for me so I've stayed with her.
I used to only go once or twice a year before I got my fringe but now I have to go every month.

I self trim, I didn't realise so may others did too, it great to know, as most of my friends seem to go to there hairdresser- they think I'm mad. But I don't think I've ever been to the hairdresser's for just a trim
