I agree, wendyg. I get so frustrated because some woodcrafters think that the average hairstick needs to be 7" long.

neoma: what I can never figure out is how anyone wears an 8in stick - and you do see some of those.

I'm another who prefers shorter sticks. Shorter sticks also do better with not-so-large toppers IMO, to keep the stick balanced.

It would be nice if he could mail to non-US destinations - but then seeing as you are in NZ, littleacorn, I guess you already have that covered .

Very nice sticks. Agree with wendyg - some shorter ones would be great. Or maybe he could offer to shorten any sticks to the buyer's preferred length after purchase.

Oh, and encourage him to list international shipping prices!

I've been looking at these for a little while. They remind me of Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels. Very nice!

There's probably no harm in asking! But it looks like his niche is turning.

I messaged him to ask about a custom order. It's in process now, so I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

He's very, very nice and replies very quickly, by the way. I did suggest shorter sticks (he's making a shorter, less ornate one for me, with a malachite inlay).

Ooh, I like those. I'll have to check in in a bit to see how they look a little shorter and less ornate, but the general look appeals to me.

I've got him/her hearted. Maybe that'll translate to getting something (I look a lot more than I buy).
