    Hey,
Is feyes self trim still easy/do-able/reliable by yourself when your hair becomes longer than you can reach?

Sure! Just elastic band it to where you can reach, pull it forward without disturbing the "tension", and band on.

It's easy that way, right? Just band to where you can reach, pull forward, and continue the banding on the end that's left over. It's easy, but you just have to think of it!

Ooh, I may have to try this! When I used the method before, I pulled the band along after bringing it forward but like many others I ended up with it wonky. I was thinking of a similar thing to adapt spidermom's method because that was at the limits of possibility at just past knee, even with a long book, but from behind with an additional scrunchie or two might actually be easier, with less length in front to deal with and needing to keep the right tension
Knee by 'Nineteen - hooray! Tiny trim and now onto Calf!
Picky scalp but easygoing hair - phew

No you just go to where you can reach "comfortably", and position it RIGHT, so VERY VERY carefully and make it tight enough so it doesn't budge when you pull it forward. Then you just band the rest according to that band. It's so easy!

This summer is going to be a real test for me. Our bathroom gets so sticky and gross when I shower and my wet hair is all over me and it's only June.
How will I feel in August?
After the weather cools in September or so, I should be good again, and next summer I should be close enough to knee that I can push through the stickiness.
It's this summer I'm going to struggle, I can already tell.

Do you have a shower only, or also a bath. If so, consider washing your hair separately, over the bath, bent over. It makes a lot of difference for me in any case.

We do have a bathtub. But I think it would really hurt my head and neck to bend over like that. They're sensitive in that way.
