    Ha! You may very well be right. Also my hair always looks shorter because the ends are bendy unless it's directly after a wash and I blow dry a tiny bit. Thanks for the outside perspective.

    I'll see you there!
    {just a little longer I promise}

    I mostly have a hard time seeing the full length myself, since I always have braid/bun waves in my hair I always forget to take a pictures after I've washed my hair and it's in its natural straight state

    I do always forget that your hair is so straight because of your braid waves, but they are super pretty, even if they eat a tiny bit of length.

    Thank you! The little length feels like more when your hair is pin straight by nature Or I'm just damaged and every millimeter counts

    Oh I'm right there with you! I'd go bonkers if I had the shrinkage of curly hair.

I can really relate to you about the stress induced shed; I had that happen about 4 years ago I think. It wasn't fun at all!! I can also relate to what you described about your hair ends. I have trouble with them feeling dry and porous a lot too, so I have to try keeping them moisturized or else I end up with some sad splits and breakage!!

    Welcome aboard and I hope that we get to see your lovely hair sometime if you ever decide to share pictures here!!

    Thank you Shepherdess and TatsuOni!

    Yes, stress sheds are the worst aren't they? I'll post some pics once I have enough of a post count

    TatsuOni your hair is so beautiful!

    I know I don't belong here.... Yet! Hopefully... But

    Just thought It would be and interesting to show this my normal hair and the. My hair hatter having being braided then oiled and brushed. So maybe you can see the shrinkage you already know us curlies have

    Ahh your hair is gorgeous!!! I also have this curly hair problem!! My hair shrinks anywhere from tailbone to lower classic length when it curls! And my ends are just touching my upper knees! haha! The other day I took my hair out of the two buns I put them in and I had these big huge loopy bouncy bun curls that shrunk up to tailbone. Sometimes I am surprised at how my hair holds and pulls upward so strongly. Why? haha

    I have to say I completely understand the struggle which is why I measure stretched and take pics monthly to check growth! Happy growing to you I'll lurk now for a while! *waves*
