OH! I have a couple to 3 more inches to go........
Then I may be able to put it all up in the back and try to forget about it.
This is APL when wet... *sigh* haha

Growing out from major chop, May 2010. APL now, goal=waist length. NEVER CHOP AGAIN!!!
This morning after washing my hair in the shower, I thought "this sure looks like APL - could it be " So I just had to re-measure and low and behold, I reached 23" wet/dry ( straight) which is APL on me
Too bad my hair shrinks up (darn those curls) after it's completely dry. So, I'll stay with this thread for another month or two until I can call it APL curly before moving on to the "APL to BSL" thread.
Nevertheless, I am very happy to see this progress. Haven't had my hair this long in over 15 years
Yours truly,
GermanCurl
I'm sticking around till my dry/curly hair is undoubtably APL before I call it, I just call it APLish right now..
Once I offically make APL, my wet/straightened hair will reach BSL...oh the joys, lol
I'm so ready to do some more styles, but I did make up a fun style for my APLish layered hair (I can't link it through my phone, but you can find it in my recent posts)..
I have been wearing my hair UP the past 2 weeks, and hoping to till October when I take more length pics, I haven't taken any (or wore my striped shirt) since June-I think I can already see growth-this is exciting
Ok, here is a question......how "does" one determine if their hair is armpit length?? I know this sounds a little silly, but I really am confused (a common state for me!LOL!!) Is there a photo lurking around TLHC somewhere to use as a guideline?
Put a tape measure in your arm pits, to create a line across your back. A towel works too.
yep thats what I do! when you get out of the shower wrap a towel around you, under your arms
that is apl
THANK YOU!!!
LOL - I was wondering this yesterday when I was looking at my hair I'm closer to APL than I thought (I think - just because my hair's grown so much since a month ago, or so it seems!) going to take pictures tonight for some sort of progress/starting point.
I have about two inches to go until I hit solid APL when dry. It seems to be taking way longer than last time I went from shoulder to APL, and I don't know why. I'm not paying as much attention to my hair and wearing it up every day too, so that's really weird.
