Hi everybody! I have waist lenght, my hair is almost straight but with some "waves" and is very frizzy... so, I was thinking about changing my style for a special day... how can I make it curlier without damaging it? I want to keep it curly just for one or two days is this possible?

There are a few threads on rag curls, pin curls or using rollers to set damp hair and drying it overnight.

also, the sock bun done this way: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...ighlight=bread gives me nice big curls when I take it down.

    Hi Elichan

There is an article in the Hair styling section on how to get deep waves without damaging your hair. http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...e&articleid=82

Soft rollers like these do not damage the hair either. Especially if you dab a bit of leave-in conditoner on the ends as you start rolling each section.

When it's wet, roll it up and leave t until ti dries, and possibly even longer. For me that usually takes 3 days, but it's so worth it.

I would reccomend getting soft rollers though as you may have to sleep on it.

Hi there! I oftentimes set my hair when almost dry with curlers meant to sleep in. This results in gorgeous curls for the next few days until I'm ready to wash again. It sounds like we have similar hair types too and I love how sleek my hair looks when rolled. Good luck!

RAG CURLS!!!!! They are comfortable on the hair, and you can get tight waves, or ringlets with them depending on how you take them out, oh yeah and did I mention they are really comfortable???
Oh yeah, and best part... NO DAMAGE TO YOUR HAIR!!!! Plus if you have to go out somewhere you can put a kerchief on your head and you look super cute

Rag curls, paper bag curls, and pin curls all work.
If you can figure out how to rope braid (I still can't), those can leave some lovely curls as well.

Rag curls are achieved thanks to the tutorial in the articles section that I mentionned earlier
Basically, it's curls you make with rags
