here it is as the genie-pony holder..it also does shorted buns if i wanted to do half up or when my hair was shorter..i also use a piece of hair around the pony holder when i do that to hide the band..

The Disk Bun and any buns with small loops or no loops are good for bun cages. Or use a hair tie for the ponytail which adds more stability to the updo which can carry the bun cage more easily with that. For longer bun cages (oval) I use the Chamäleon Bun or the simple knot bun - means you make a knot and wrap the hair around it. Torrin Paige's knot bun is also suitable excellently for bun cages - or the Brioche Bun or the Celtic Knot.


Spidermom Bun


Lazy Wrap Bun, where you may use the inner holes of the cage, if you have lesser hair volume.


Simple Knot bun


with hair tie base, because the two sticks are quit thin and straight.


Spock Bun



That is my own bun creation, I think - an amplified Spidermom Bun where I threaded the strands through the loops to get new farther loops.

OMG those are to die for!
Seriously I’ve been really into metalwork and wirework recently because I see the potential in making flex-8 and bun cage of my own.

Back in the 1980's I bought a couple of plastic bun cages, they were plenty on the market back then (this was long before internet shopping) but I haven't seen one in a shop since then.

Unfortunately I threw mine away a very long time ago.
