What's the shortest your hair has ever been?

I have had hair as short as a Halle Berry pixie much like this: http://www.fanpix.net/picture-galler...ry-picture.htm

It was really too short for me though and was mainly to cut out damage from a perm disaster. Other than that single incident, the shortest my hair had ever been was in the 80's (remember the decade of really bad hairdos?) when a friend convinced me I would look great in a Sheena Easton style she wore in the video of the song she did with Prince - U Got The Look. It wasn't really me but it was fun for awhile.

I got a pixie cut when I was five or so because I wanted to look like a boy, for some reason.

I ended up hating it and never wanted short hair again.

The shortest I ever cut my hair was about an inch below my ear in 8th grade. It was a HUGE mistake, and I've never gone above the shoulders since.

I was a girl who cried the first time my hair was cut above the shoulders.

Since then, I've buzzed it all off, worn every style bob you can imagine, and my favorite-ever cut was about chin length.

I'm growing it mostly for a change, to have fun with it, and to see if I like having long hair any more now that I'll actually know how to style it rather than just having it hang there shapelessly. Once I've been bsl-waist for about six months, I'll either decide to keep it for a few years or I'll chop it. We'll see.

I had a pretty short cut about seven years ago -- don't know if I would call it a pixie, but something close to that. I liked it for a while, but every time I wear my hair short like that, after a while I start thinking, "This just doesn't feel like me." I had it that way when I first started my job, so people in the office who have known me the whole time are amazed at how long my hair's become since then.

Never had and never wanted short hair so the shortest mine has been is probably shoulder length when I was about 15.

Probably collarbone length when I was 14. At first, it was cool and I loved moving my head, but after a few hours I was ready to go back to the hairdresser and ask them for my hair.

ETA: Quite a bit shorter, now that I remember, it was more pixie-ish.

The shortest my hair has been has been waist-length or so, after a big trim. Growing up, I always had my hair between waist and hip, then I was able to get it to go past hip in college, and now it's a couple of inches past tailbone. I've never had short hair.
