juliaxena I have very thick hair in-between BSL and waist, and I can use a small to hold the center of a disc bun with all my hair, and the center of a nautilus bun in a half up.

I think a center held bun is one where you do a small coil bun with your long ends loose,then clip over that coil with a smaller clip,then carefully wrap your long ends around the edges of the clip,then tuck your ends under[make sure they are tucked in securely]Correct me if I'm wrong.

I would be extremely surprised if Ficcare ever produced the lily again. They have only confirmed the return of the silkies, jewel, and lotus collections. Someone earlier said that Ficcare said border collection wouldn't be coming back.

I know NaClH2O but I assure you with my hair it can't be done (yet). I think I will try bending the silky to experiment.

What about if you french braid your hair and then bun it? I find that it helps eat up some of my thickness and so the tail of the braid is thinner and I can use the small ficcare more easily.

That might be worth a try, I haven't done it since summer when I couldn't make any bun after braiding yet. It is probably the easiest too. Thanks!

A center held bun is one where if you we're using a stick you'd put it only through the center and not over top of the whole bun. Julia, with a LWB or a disc bun if you use the clip this way you're actually only holding maybe a fourth of your hair. It works well. Pencil buns are good for this too. You end up with two loops. The. Bottom of the Ficcare goes into the first one, under the little knot in the center, and out the second one. Don't clip it over the bun once you get it in; weave it in and out.
