Here are my three large Maximas. From left to right, a turquoise multistripe, a black and white Lotus Brite, and a Glitter Primavera.

If they are, I saw something similar (just plain metal) in Boots - should it work the same, or is there a special trick to how he Ficcares are made?

Also, what I have seen a lot, are similar spring clips but each half is a bit more like a hollow cylinder, so there are edges. Has anybody tried these and do they work similarly well? I was worried that the edges might damage the hair?

    Thanks again
the silver matte one in boots is good.
I have found that ficcares are better than any fakkare, less bits for hair to get caught in....the teeth hold it in place well. The springs are just right and the finish is good.

Headgames online deliver to uk and ficcare.com like loads of others I had a few issues with headgames so I will deal directly with ficcare in future. (be prepared for a customs fee of about £10 for three clips and £10 postage.)
Having said that it can still be cheaper than buying from selfridges in London apparently.

Keep your eyes on the swap board as lots turn up on there.

Not to enable too much... But you could probably get one at 25 inches or so, and it'd still fit at waist...if it didn't could use it for half ups or sell it on the swap board.

Your wish is my command (or at least half of your wish)

The pearlised cappicino is the second from the left. I thought it would blend well with my hair but in the end I prefer the dark blond (3rd from the left) the other two are a tortoise primavera and the border caramel.

I think that's a good idea. I didn't get mine until between hips and tailbone. I know that if I had gotten one when my hair was the length yours is, I would not still be able to wear it.

Oh great. Your hair colour is similar to mine (do you henna?) and that looks amazing in your hair. Now I have to try Ficcare again. I had a large Black Pearl that just wouldn't hold. I'm going to wait until the new catalog comes out though...
