The small will hold a half-up. So my best best would be to just wear two separate buns, either horizontally or vertically. This is my only small now, thus only a half-up. It feels comfortable now, so I hope it won't trigger a headache.

How do you feel about the clips that have stuff stuck on top of them, the Lilly, Blossom, and the two current models with a crystal ornament?
The Blossom is only available in matte silver and gold in Europe, not the ones with one enameled flower, which I like better. I'm undecided about the crystal topped ones, I mean I love all the old ones where the crystals are incorporated into the clip, not a separate ornament popped on top.. I feel like the old glitteries are much more suitable for everyday wear, and the new ones have a more bridal /festive look.
I know the Lilly was very sought after at one point, but I don't think I've seen one Blossom here, so is that not liked as much? Or is it about rarity? I really like the gold Blossom with one white flower.

ETA: Oh, the Blossom with white is not available at the Ficcare site either, even though there is a picture of one.

The small one is really cute - I've never even thought about buying smaller toys for half-ups.

But now that I've cured my over-protectiveness regarding my hair I might invest in some stuff too.

I probably wouldn't have thought about it either, but alas, the small size is the easiest to find in some of the old clips that I really like, so I decided to try them! I think they might work as helper clips later on too and I can probably do double buns for a long time with two small clips.
Now my single bun is perfectly held with one size Large clip. Maybe a medium would be good too, I only have one acetate medium and it seems almost as big as far as the inside volume, as my larges.. Do all the M's hold as much hair, is the acetate only bigger on the outside?

The half-up turned into this. I think this is pretty nice. And I really really really like the green chevron/leaf/feather. On top of all this color I'm also wearing hot pink wool socks

Joliebaby, I really like the chevrons with the braided styles. This one, in particular, is really beautiful!

I need to do a side-French braid one of these days, maybe tomorrow for church.

This Burgundy Jewel is one of my secondhand load I was able to get, and it had a dull, rough spot which I polished with a nail buffer. It looks like delicious jam, I love the depth and shine of the Jewels!
Too bad that there is no Burgundy Jewel Lotus available, and the Jewel Borders on gold are sold out. I wonder if they will be re-stocking them, does anyone know? Or shall we have to wait for the next collection?

Aaaaand here is my Medium Modern Horn Acetate, this clips was my single Ficcare for a long time, and is my only size Medium. I just finally glued the top back on, as I was not able to wear this because my hair got caught between the metal and the acetate layer. I really love this clip, and I'm happy that I can still wear it just as well as a Large Max. Though I hear that it holds more hair than the enamel Max's do. If this came up somewhere in size Large though, I'd snap it up immediately. This is just so chic to me, and the tones go well with my hair, and this goes with every piece of clothing I have.

Thats exactly what I hoped for when I bought my Acteate, I don't remember what it's called - black, grey, silver-ish swirls? Sadly I just find it boring.

Your horn colorway is way cooler!

I got my hands on the one Ficcare to rule them all, at least in my opinion. The perfect one I always wanted. It's the re-make not an original one but that doesn't bother me. Jewel border Emerald (gold).

What do you mean by remake? Like a mod, or just from a new collection? Anyway it's so beautiful! The color looks great with your hair.
I just looked at the Ficcare site and the only Border Jewel on gold in size Large they had left was the Dark Topaz. And hmmmaybe black quartz, but that doesn't interest me. I'm wondering if there will be more available.. The German shops didn't have any gold Jewel Borders left at all, I think. If there will be no more burgundies, emeralds and royal blues with gold borders, I may have to mod.

Way back when I bought my first Ficcares, I was only interested in the simplest possible models, even the logo at the Silkies bothered me. Now I like the ones better that have some design element, be it logo, border, lotus or other pattern.
