ooohkay so I got my first ficcare and I'm hoping it's user error but I'm not really impressed. I expected them to be thicker and heavier. I can just fit it over a french twist, but it does not close all the way. I see people with much more hair than I have hold up huge buns with them, so I must be doing something wrong! Any tips?

I got a large, but I'm guessing the makers are male because I don't think it's 5 inches.

It’s not supposed to close all the way. I really wasn’t impressed at first either then I got to playing around with them more and am finally getting the hang of them. I know others will have better tips than I but I say keep playing around with diff types styles and where you place it to hold. Like the edge of a bun, center etc.

This is a YMMV thing, but personally I find the hold on them to be so strong that I don't need to catch any scalp hair like I do with a stick or fork, and when I do catch scalp hair is when it pulls and is uncomfortable.
