Btw, today I picked up from the PO my ficcare order. After filling up the cart to my heart's desire, I figured out I cannot afford 6 ficcare so I had to quit the idea. So I ended up ordering from Frenchtwist, and I got the Caramel, and two acetates, from the french print, the Polka dot and the Glittery one.
I need to show you photos, I have to say that the two acetates, especially the Glittery one , have surpassed all my expectations! The caramel is lovely as you all already know.

Gorgeous lotus Islandgrrl! And looking forward to pictures of your new ficcares Adiro!

I recently received my newest clip - a light blonde ficcare and I love it! Thank you to all that shared pictures on this thread to help me decide between the light blonde and dark blonde clips.

I am now waiting on a Pearlized Caramel and Jade -- and an Opal Silky.

Sorry to intrude upon the Ficcare club (usually I just lurk), but I recently got a M blue jeans Maximas and now I'm confused about the sizing. I have a medium Ficci that is a total workhorse so I figured a medium Maximas would also work well, but I can barely do anything with it and its capacity seems to be smaller...? I'm only at APL and it doesn't work! Are the larges really large enough to hold long hair? I really like the way it looks so I'd like to get a large, but I'm really just puzzled...

Probably if you like a medium new collection ficci you will want a large maxima. I think most find a medium ficci holds a bit more hair than a medium maxima.

Hi Zesty! My gosh, why would you ever think you're intruding in this thread? You are more than welcome here and I'm glad you've come out of lurkdom to join us!

The larges really are large enough to hold long hair! I have knee length hair and while I usually now need two larges to hold everything, I started wearing the large size at about BSL. That worked for me until about tailbone length. I can still wear one single large with a log roll. However! There are plenty of members on this thread who have VERY. LONG. HAIR. and can still make the smaller sizes work. They are much more talented than I when it comes to updos, and hopefully some will chime in with suggestions for you.

Ficcare have a bit of a learning curve. I'd encourage you to keep experimenting with different buns and placement of the clip. Welcome to the thread!

Ooooh, Selkie! I love how that clip works so beautifully with your hair color! And I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your new ones, too, when they arrive!

Islandgrrl that black and white lotus is SO beautiful!

Selkie, that is a PERFECT color for you. It looks terrific AND I love your bun!

Zesty, I'm at classic and I can still wear a medium. I would suggest that you simply try different buns and keep practicing... there is a learning curve, just like with all things. Remember, too, that the jaws of the clip should be open, because when they are open, you are getting the full power of the spring. But you probably already know that from the Ficci! I find that the Ficcis have a different type of hold from the Maximas. You are probably just used to the way the Ficci works, but keep trying! I know you will get it. And then, next thing you know, you will have a bunch of them...
