I gave a good friend my large sapphire lotus a year or so ago. Her is pretty thick, I'd say its iii. She looked a bit doubtful that it would hold her hair but she was pleasantly surprised!

I also gave a medium black enamel classic and a new wine silky to another friend as a Christmas present and she also loves them, as her hair is straight and quite slippery.

In a way I feel a bit obligated to let my long haired friends know about ficcares, as the work so well for me and I think that most of the long haired people I know are on the look out for secure, comfortable and pretty hairtoys (which are very hard to find in Aus)

Only for an LHC swap. I gave brunette one of the old silky lavenders last summer as part of my package.

I bought some effects paint called Marabu Relief Paste. It's a tube of 'outlining' paste used to make fake stained glass window leading on various materials. It comes in black, silver, gold, white and copper. As soon as I get hold of a gold matte Maximas, I'm going to use the paste on it to make a copper-vines-on-forest-green 'fake Primavera'.

I gave my mum a burgundy border Maximas and two Ficci clips a while back. She cut her hair (1c, f, ii, silver) from MBL to bob recently so she gave them back to me. I tried to get my sister interested in them but she says they slip out (she has 2c, m/c, ii blonde/highlighted hair).

ETA: brunette gave me a silver luminous Signature clip at my first LHC meet.

I gave a silver leopard to my coworker. She loved it and it was soooo fun to do. And I sent off a damaged Acetate to a LHC-er and another to someone else but both were extremly helpful in other areas so that doesn't count

I gave one to another LHC-er at a meet a long time ago, and recently purchased one on the boards as a gift for someone. I'm getting ready to buy one from Ficcare as a gift for a friend. Oh, and, duh, I got a couple of silkies for my sister for her birthday after I gave her one of mine to try out last year.

I gave my mom my S baby border pink and S silver butterfly innovation to try out for awhile. She has had short hair all her life and is just starting to grow it out, it's about APL. I'm "encouraging" this budding addiction by giving her pretty hair things to play with.
