I'm going to take the henna plunge soon! I hate chemically dying!! But I am wondering if you all use different products after henna hair dying??
What brands or types of products or treatments are ur faves to keeping your lovely henna heads?!
I'm so pumped, but want to be sure I do the best to care for it after and make it grow grow grow. =))

Ok, question. My skin tone is like this (ignore strange facial expression. I was just trying to get a pic without blinding myself in the sun! lol):

and in the shade... again, awful pic but I'm just using it to gage what my skin tone looks like in different lighting.

And unfortunately I can see from the sunlight now that my hair no longer is blonde... poo. What color do you think yemeni henna would turn this and would it go with my skin tone?

I would like my hair to be a bit more orange and not so red. I just bought cassia and will probably use a henna/cassia mix from now on. On these pictures I've used only henna.

I"ve been wanting to use henna on my hair but my hair is black. If i use henna will it change color?

ArienEllariel, I'm not sure about yemni henna but I have heard its the least reddish or colored one, your face and skin will look great with reddish tone, I think your hair may look coppery red

You probably won't see much color change except for a red sheen in sunlight.....

Just got my box of Rajasthani Twilight Henna. YEAH! Waited till after the Holiday mail crunch to order it, and was worried my roots would be showing before it got here. But I'm good now for at least another 6 months probably! I really gotta get some pics taken.

I have to share a story... a few weeks ago my husband and I were running errands, and I heard him mumble something, but when I asked him what he said he responded... "oh nothing". Then we went shopping last week and I heard him mumble something.. to which he resonded when asked what he said.. "oh nothing"... then last night we were watching T.V. and he mumbled.... "I wonder if she uses henna too" lol.... Now I know what he has been mumbling everytime he sees someone else with red hair. Too funny.

Hi Kelbottari;
Just wanted to let you know that I still use the same wonderful WEN Cleansing Conditioner that I used pre-Henna because it's great. The only other things I use now that are different are tea and ACV rinses, Night Blooming's Panacea, Oria's O'Shay and/or Coconut Oil on my ends. I do NOT use these things now because I am using Henna but because I am a member of LHC and know they do good things for my hair with or without Henna

Wow all of you have such beautiful hair!

Im tempted by this henna. However im also chicken! I was a hairdresser & now that im not at a salon anymore ive been loving the freedom of being able to grow out my natural hair colour. However its a rather dull boring mousy dark blond/light brown. I kind of want to go a nice shiny chestnut colour. What mix should I use?

Also having been a hairdresser ive been rather fickle with my colour, which has often led to damage & a drastic chop as a result. And I know henna is difficult/impossible to remove.

But damn you all have such shiny vibrant healthy looking hair! I wish I could pull off those bright reds, but I have so much pink in my skin.

I've been sitting around with Lush Caca Rouge on my head wrapped in saran wrap and a plastic bag since roughly 6:20 pm. It took about an hour or so before that to apply it... I hope to leave it in until 10:30 pm or so. I'm a henna virgin, so wish me luck!
