Here are the results from my very first application! I used 2009 Jamila henna with chamomile-lemon tea as my liquid, and added four heaping tablespoons each of ground cloves and paprika, plus about a teaspoon each of cinnamon and cardamon. I had some interesting splatters around the sink during application (I've done it for my friend a few times, but applying mud to your own head is a bit harder!) but it rinsed out beautifully in the shower. I used about a cup of tresemme conditioner (not my usual brand, but it was cheap and came in a gigantic bottle) followed by a vinegar rinse and another round of conditioner (organix tea tree and peppermint this time).

F/ii/goodbye henna!
RocketDog lovely colour and yes henna is great if your wanting to keep the colour variations . wonder if it has anything to do with strand thicknesses of something
my nape hairs are crazily dark almost black (with a warm hint) yet my canopy hair and temple hairs are finer are are a much brighter shade!!!!
variations are petty

here is an update after 36 hrs oxidation. I like the color when I'm in the shade, but under direct light it is still very, very intensely orange.
F/ii/goodbye henna!
Wow! Everyone's hair is so lovely! ( I love the red and orange hues!)
I'd like to warm up my dark brown hair.... maybe I'll finally do it this winter......
Thanks for the inspiration!
Aloha, I'm new here, though I've been lurking on and off for a few months now.
My profile pic is what my hair looks like now after months of henna then and indigo experience and now again with one app of henna over that to achieve a rich dark auburn brown.
Posted is a red hair pic of just henna. I get mine from Mehandi.com also known as "hennforhair.com"
Trying to FINALLY get healthy long hair after a many many years of chemical abuse and silicone conditioners to hide the damage. Henna is awesome!
