I haven't been asked this, but my house mate, who has mid back length hair and was wearing a skirt, was asked if she was pentecostal.

I actually knew a pentecostal girl, she never cut her hair and it was like mid calf length and gorgeously thick and healthy.

while talking to a somewhat older lady about her nice looking tailbone length hair.... I mentioned I was 'jealous' (trying to lighten the convo) since growing out again I still can't put it all in a pony....she looked me dead seriously and said, 'You know why not?' - thinking she would give advice with vitamins/shampoo or something.... and then she said:

'Cause God doesn't want men to have long hair'

I've been asked if I was Plymouth Brethren in the past, when I was wearing a long skirt (My hair must have been in a ponytail or plait, because a bun would not have given the length away.)
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

Then why did he make it so it GROWS??? lol
Putting it in my signature because I have to say it so often:
Do what works for your hair, not what other people say is "right" or "wrong." If it works for you, it's not wrong. If it doesn't work for you, it's not right.

I know this has been said... But it's gotta be have I ever cut my hair. It was about waist length at the time. If I had never cut my hair, it would be soooo much longer than waist!

I think I would have replied with “Good job I’m not a man then, my name’s Mary, nice to meet you”.

Maybe not dumbest but certainly ridiculous and irritating
A little while ago I posted on a Facebook group for wavies, sharing what I thought was a pretty nice GHD.
I added as usual hashtag #2b/2c for my texture.
First comment: " I'm glad you're happy with results but its not 2b/2c, its more 2a/2b"
Next comment : " Its only 2a at the best "

To which I wrote: " Jeez, I will soon learn that my hair is straight..."
Don't get me wrong, I really don't care what number stands there. My 2c ringlets are not showing much unless my hair gets to certain length. What really upset me that instead of writing something decent about colour or good condition people focus on trying to convince me that my hair is less wavy/curly than I consider it to be
By the way it was this picture
