Dumbest hair comments you've received?

I remembered I got teased in middle school for having long hair. Girls would say I can't afford a hairdresser, it didn't even occur to them that I might just like long hair and refuse to cut it short because I had it short and regret it for years. I just ignored them and eventually they got bored and stopped bugging me.

I'm with you on that boat. I think that if anyone ever asks me what I'd do if they cut my hair I'd just point out that I carry a very, very sharp knife on me at all times and are they sure that they want to test that theory?

I usually act dumb and ask lots of frivolous questions when people go this route. Then I end the convo with, "You know I really don't care what you think. My body. My choice. Get stuffed."

I've had this conversation many times, but usually it ends after too long for what? I also am a fan of "then my hair would be too short"

not a dumb comments, but i find surprising that sometimes people do not understand why my hair is two-colored. I am growin out my bleached hair for some time and now my virgin hair is at about my eye/ear level. i do have some highlights from ears down to my shoulder and my ends down from my shoulder are pretty blond. I don't have clear demarcation line and overall view now start to look like quite intentional ombre. i remember explaining my BF several times in the begining why my hair is darker at the roots and lighter at the ends and he seem to understand now but it took some time. today i got this question from one of my close friends, she knows me for more that 10 years, seen me in bleached/highlighted/natural many times before: oh, if my hair is now bleached at the ends only.
