Default Sweet Almond Oil fan thread

For some reason, my hair really likes this stuff. It works much better, as a leave-in, than EVOO, coconut, or jojoba, though I like the others for deep treatments. Anyone else feel partial to this one?

I can use more of SAO without going "crunch," and I like that it feels less like sebum and more "slick." I'm using the "International Collection" brand.

I only just discovered this for my hair lately and I love it. I still like to use coconut oil because my scalp seems to react well to it, but I love almond oil on my length. It just does something unexplainably great to my hair. It makes my hair soft and shiny, not sticky or weird, just really great.

I recently started using sweet almond oil and I'm a fan. I also use it as a leave-in before I wash. It doesn't make my ends feel crunchy at all, and after I wash, my hair feels a lot softer.

I'm a fan. Especially since it's probably the cheapest oil I can get here, with the exception of olive oil, which is far too greasy for my hair.

I use it mostly as a pre-wash overnight treatment, and mixed with brown sugar for exfoliating my skin.

Teazel, that sounds like a great idea for exfoliating. I'm going to try it!

Sweet almond oil and sesame oil are the 2 i use most when i want extra softening. I love the way it makes my hair feel.....i also use it for facial massages and to remove makeup.
I also use sweet almond usually to dilute castor oil when i do an overnight oiling with that.

I've only tried a couple of times (mine's actually a mix of sweet almond and vanilla EO from Anita Grant) and it makes my hair very soft and slightly fluffy (in a good way).

I'm a fan of SAO too. No other oil gives the shine and softness that this oil gives me. I do use lots of other oils too but SAO is my favourite I especially use it for deep oil treatments. Cover my hair with oil and wash hair the following day with CWC method.
