It took about three hours to air-dry, but I got sick of water dripping all over my carpets, so I got a hairdryer. I blow-dry on coolest setting for about 15 minutes and then I let the rest to air-dry, which takes less than 1 hour and no more dripping.

Unless my hair is shorter than shoulder length, there is no way it dries in under 3 hours. During winter I'd say at least 5-6 hours? During the summer, if my hair is really long (waist, hip length +) and I go to sleep with it wet, I'll get up with it still soaking wet, so it has taken up to 12 hours before. My hair is really thick, really hard to get wet, but also really hard to dry once it's wet.

4.5 to 5 hours, pretty consistently. If I have to go to work, I need 35 minutes to diffuse to mostly-dry, then it spends another hour fully drying.

I tried CGM a few times - with gel and air drying, I think it took over 7 hours. Diffusing was closer to 45 minutes, but still not full dry. At that point I mashed it until the crunchiness was gone because I couldn't leave the house with stiff waves glued to my head. Conclusion: CGM will not work as instructed for MY head - using gel to get a "cast" is not for me. But I did take away some nice tips to encourage wavy ends!

Completely out and loose in the summer will take about 4 hours. (After squeezing out excess moisture so it's not dripping too much.)

In braids it can take up to 48 hours, so I do try to towel dry as much as I can before bunning or braiding.

For some reason the walk-in becomes less effective October - April. Still faster than standing with the blower in hand, except for December and January.

I don't know how it is possible but lately it only takes a couple of hours for my hair to airdry. No idea why.

If it is properly clarified and rinsed, at my FTL in summer, it takes about an hour without turning on my electric fan.
But if it is water only rinsed, it might take up to 4 hours since my daily application of oil leaves a certain amount of residue there. I only do WO once a week, and shampoo once a month, it’s a rare occasion for me to let my hair down for so long, but I can stand up and practice my calligraphy.
I never use a blowdryer, not even the cool setting.

It's BSL currently, and so after 2H, I just give up and diffuse. I do wash it in the evening, often late evening, like 8-10PM and so I can't have it wet for 4+H, right? I mean, I'm not going to bed with a wet head, that's for sure. And after diffusing it does take about an hour to settle and dry to the core. I can't get it 100% dry with the diffuser. Just can't. There is always a remnant of dampness at the very ends. In summertime, I might wash it earlier. But right now? I don't have time during the day, my condition also doesn't allow it and so it's a "quick thing" late at night. It has to be that way right now!
