Day 209 - Black & Violet with Magna Topper Acrylic Hairfork by Soldpadda Haarforken

The picture above does not show all the subtle tones in the fork. See below for better shot:

Previous picture of fork alone in sunlight (shows off all the pretty hues)

And just to comment on hold and shapes of forks, I still feel that this shape (2 wide set prongs) hold much better in my hair than any other shape.

Thanks AspenSong, I think the stripe Ficcares don't get a lot of love, but I really like the gold of the clip shines through the acetate in bright light, it adds more dimensions to the clip. I really love the way that rose flexi goes with your hair. Looks perfect.

GroovyGrannie Thank you, I think the helix is one that looks great with thinner hair as well, and thinner haired folks get to do it a lot sooner!

Day 26 is a clay hairstick given to me by my mom years and years ago, it's made of some sort of clay that was getting weirdly chalky and soft with age so I coated it with several coats of clear nail polish, and hopefully that's solved the problem:

Day 27 is my first hair fork and first attempt at modding one. It still needs to be finished but it's functional as is:

Day 28 is a pair of Turn of the Century sticks:

And I cheated and wore Day 29 two days in a row because I was busy- an old collection lotus Ficcare, I think*the color is gold? It makes me want dulce de leche every time I see it:

Day 29: did an indigo treatment, then gobbed a bunch of conditioner in my hair to detangle it. I opted for a dark fork on the offchance that there was any transfer. I didn’t see any when I took it out though. Crockett Mountain Woodworks fork in Ghost trails.

I've always like that acrylic color - Ghost Trails Looks fabulous in your hair and obviously your hair is way thicker than mine. If I tried sitting a fork like that unless I had an elastic to hold it, it would just slide right out.

*sigh* That Seraphinite is lovely. I like the texture of it.

Thanks! I’m a fan of the acrylic, too. It seems to photograph kind of flat, but it’s nice and sparkly in person.

Very awesome DweamGoiL. I'm really interested in these forks..do you find the waveform prongs hold better than straight ones?

Also that Quattro really suits you, I can see why you like them so much.

Finally finished growing out natural colour!

Thank you And I agree...I keep finding new toys to lust after

I’m wearing the sibling to your green mamba today, DweamGoiL. Day 31 is a WoodEverIImagine stick in magma dragon. I tried my hand at one of those infinity knot things but I probably should have used a hair tie. It held the stick at least, even with the looseness.
