I've kept it between waist and shoulder/CBL for years but have committed to long hair in late 2019.

You feel the urge for change:
Never.

Do you like shorter styles?
Nope.

What could be a reason for you to cut?
If a rabid wolverine ate half of my hair.

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
I like long hair 1000% better than short, and the longer, the better.

About once or twice a year. Usually want bangs or a new color, etc.

Yes, but not long term. I should honestly invest in wigs.

What could be a reason for you to cut?
Lots of hair loss. Extremely damaged hair.

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
1. My culture: Hispanic women are seen as even more beautiful if their hair is long and healthy.
2. I grew up with long hair.
3. I love the aesthetic.
4. It’s so much easier to style than short hair.

Bottom Line: I love long hair. I especially love having long hair myself and the reactions I get from children when it is very long. I also enjoy the type of men that I attract with long hair (LOL).

A bit! But I mainly like to switch up colours.

Haven't had long hair for a long time so I just want to experience that again, also, might want some dreadlocks

All my life D: new styles and stupid decisions always make me cut back due to damage and short styles and buzz several times, my last buz was in 2018 after a failed black to silver stunts with the intention of growing only to repeat the same mistakes

Jan 2020 roles around and I thought 2020 is a great time being as it was the start of a new decade and I call this my official growing date, so I guess Ive only been growing for 8 months

Always all the time just Color I don't want to go super short anymore

Do you like shorter styles?
No anymore I used to since you could dye all sorts and just trim it off when you need to

What could be a reason for you to cut?
Now the only reason I'll cut more then a few inches is to make my hair all one length, to cut away damage and to even up my hemline

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
It fits better with my Goth Aesthetic you see all those goth men with long flowing hair and I want to be one of them too so grow I go!

Bottom Line:
If I don't break my cycle of dying and Bleaching I don't see myself ever having long hair even though I love it so much my Natural Color isn't black and not blond just generic brown I have to learn to come to terms with it.
If I do manage to break free of my cycle I'll keep growing til floor if it lets me!

I had longhair pretty much for all my life. But I decided to actively grow my hair very long on October 2018.

You feel the urge for change:
No.

Do you like shorter styles?
Yes. On others for sure. On me, I think I could like some layered ears length haircut. If not layered, I think I could enjoy everything from chin to arm pit.

What could be a reason for you to cut?
A change in my tastes.

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
A strong reason should be that I'm growing my virgin hair after about 10 years, and I don't like normal lengths or short hair with a regular hair color (on me). So a reason is the goal of healthy hair.

Bottom Line:
I always liked super long hair, but I actually never thought that could happen to me, to my hair.
I love to take care of my hair, it chills me. For this reason, I also liked to dye my hair, because dyeing needs time constantly, in a similar way now I enjoy doing treatments.
I always hated my hair, its f/ii, and that is something encouraging me to destroy it during all my life. "If I cannot have c/iii hair, these means I'll do what I want regardless of its healthy". Only in the last years I started appreciating it. Now I truly like it, and I'd like to see it in all its natural potential.

I had to cut because my hair had become thin & see through

Do you like shorter styles?
Yes, especially medium length which can be curled into 1940s/1950s styles. They were a bit difficult with hip length hair so I'm enjoying being able to wet set my hair, and I like having curls temporarily.

What could be a reason for you to cut?
As mentioned before, thinning out. I liked my blunt hemline

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
I've been told short hair would suit me but I would feel self conscious.

Apart from cutting to a graduated bob in 2009/10 (can't remember) I've pretty much always had long hair as an adult.

Since I got engaged to my now DH. I was in the process of growing out my hair anyway and figured I'd keep it going for the wedding. So I was serious about it since Christmas 2014.

You feel the urge for change:
Oh my god... I get bitten by the DYE IT RED bug every once in a while... but then I remember that people overprocess the life out of their hair with bleach to get my natural color, which stops the urge.

Do you like shorter styles?
Yes, sometimes I miss having some shape/style to my hair like I had when it was shorter.

What could be a reason for you to cut?
Whenever I get bored with letting my hair grow like a weed, basically. BCL/Hip was my first goal(as seen in my sig pic), so one day I might cut back up to that. I would probably cut it to Classic first before making such a drastic change.

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
tbh I'm lazy, it's easier this way

Well the last time I went to a hair lady October 2019 I was enjoying having longer hair and only wanted a trim... I think same with the previous cut, six months or a year before. But I swore off hair people after October so I guess I’ve been growing since then. 2019.

You feel the urge for change:
Sometimes. More like hair dysphoria.
Do you like shorter styles?
I like them on others but it never works the way I want on me.
What could be a reason for you to cut?
Maybe to cut off old damage or if I get sick of wearing it up all the time... or if it starts to get in the way

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
Learning new hairstyles (easy ones!) not going to get a hair cut, it’s feeling like it’s in good condition.

Bottom Line:
Finding henna and having ends in decent shape has made me like my hair for perhaps the first time in my adult life. If the motivation to keep it healthy is to keep it long, so be it! Although, I give myself 45 minutes to shower and be out the door in the morning, so I can see super long hair care being a potential barrier, but maybe I’ll just have to change my routine. I would like to grow it longer though... maybe just out of curiosity, to see how long it can get. And, it looks good on me. And, I never want to go to a hairdresser again.

Goal Length?: Classic if I can get there. I wasn't able to grow beyond WL last time....will see!

Since September/December 2019. I put / because I'd decided to actively start growing it out in September, but Dec but had at home final bang/mullet trim in December.

You feel the urge for change:
Rarely, save for growing my hair longer

Do you like shorter styles?
I liked my pixie and know I look good with chin/collarbone/APL length hair, but I prefer longer and braid-able hair

What could be a reason for you to cut?
If there was severe damage for some reason, and or a long term health reason.

And what reason do you have to keep it long?
I love how it flows, there's more versatility with different styles (updos, braids, etc). I plan to grow it as long as I can, and keep it for as long as I can. If I have to cut it at some point due to being unable to properly care for it in old age, I will do so/have it be done. But will see!
