Before I stayed at home all day (ah, covid) I would wash in the mornings. Now I usually wash in the afternoon, which is a weird time but it feels sort of cleansing. Like most of the day is over, now I can relax until .

It varies, but usually in the afternoon or in the evening. I like to go to bed with clean hair, and also it has more time to air dry.
I'd wash my hair in the morning only if I have somewhere to go in the evening.

When I had a pixie I needed to wash right before any important event, otherwise it would poof, or curl or bend the wrong way. Sleeping on silk satin helps, but not completely.
Long and medium length hair Is much more forgiving with styling

I'm a night showerer, and the only way to have dryish hair during the day is if I shower the night before. Flip my damp hair up over the pillow, sometimes on a towel.

My scalp determines that. If it feels dirty, I'll wash. The scalp is more important for me.

    Agreed, the scalp is important.
I shower in the mornings, or on a lazy Saturday, sometimes around noon. It’s nice to have some time after a shower for a mask or something, but the last several months DTs have been at night.

I have to be careful to pick the right moment to wash. It takes about 5 hours for my hair to get dry.

In winter I’ll do it in the middle of the day so it’s dry by night and during the other month, I’ll do it either morning or night.

Varies. I am trying to do a deep condition with my heat cap with every wash (I wash weekly), so it is when I can sit with my heat cap on for 30 minutes. That is ending up to be usually on the weekends.
