Would you wear rollers to the airport?

Would you wear soft rollers to the airport, perhaps covered by a kerchief/bandana/hat?

I'm making a longer plane trip soon, and my curls would be much looser if I took them out six or seven hours before I arrived. I want to look positively radiant for my Husband, who will be patiently waiting at the other end. Obviously, he'd find me sexy with coconut-slop hair or no hair at all, but...ah, the joys of vanity and romance.

I feel like such a tool going in rollers, though.

Hehehe that was really a very cute question. I don't use the plane that regularly but when I do I try to wear as comfortable clothes as I can. I propably wouldn't wear rollers to the plane, I'm not sure it's dangerous or what but not comfortable for sure.
You should try damp braiding, my hair always gets very puffy after I take of my braids.

I like to be comfortable on planes, so I tend to do a French plait. If you do a French rope braid you can get some quite nice curls, and it will be more comfortable than rollers, I'd imagine.

I would do it with rag curlers, rather than hard rollers because otherwise you aren't going to be able to lean your head back.

I went to a football game in college when I was in Pep Band with rag curlers in my hair under my winter hat.

An airport is too public of a place; to me, it would be like wearing rollers out to a restaurant.

To be dead serious they might think its a security risk, they might ask you to remove them to be sure there wasn't any sharp objects hidden inside.. sounds far fetched I know... but I could see it happening.

I would do it, but i had to wear them alot in High school for due to being in a play. i put with something over them strictly for comfort and not so much because I want them covered up. Definitely do not use metal in anway shape or form, including bobby pins. plastc or fabric only.

If you decide to do it, it may be in your best interest to contact the specific airport and airline you will be flying out of to get the info.

I haven't curled my hair for years, but if I did I wouldn't wear rollers in public. But then, I like braidwaves better so in a situation like this I would probably wear two French or Dutch braids, possibly with thin scarves braided into them to produce more even waves in my tapered hair.

I do remember that a girl at school once came with a lot of tiny bee-butt-buns all over her head. I thought it looked cool, and that she just felt like wearing something different that day. That was not the case, though - the purpose was to curl her hair for the evening. We were in our upper teens and she was going out somewhere. Perhaps something to consider, instead of rollers.
