hey everyone! I haven't been here for a while, but after cutting my bleach out last summer I'm ready to get my growth back on. I'm currently around APL just hoping for some new length. (Also growing out these dastardly layers I got cut in.)

Just reporting in on this thread. I only recently joined it (and LHC) as I am barely at APL. So I'm starting out from here! I just henna'd over highlights/damaged hair and my hair feels really nice right now. I have pics in my henna album.

Okay, I'm going to try this. I hope the pics don't come out huge or anything. Day 1 after henna, indoors, no light or flash, near window:



Day 3 (today), same conditions:



Day 3 (today) indoors with my son taking the pic...looks really different but it's the same head, LOL:



In the last pic it looks very frizzy, but actually it was just after a nap with no finger-combing at all. Also, my waves are so not wavy in the back right now...at all! I am springing up wavy at the front of my face where the hair is shorter (bangs) and at the hemline in the front. I am hoping after a CO or two (I wash about every 5-7 days) I will spring back up but if I don't I still love the texture!

**So the quesiton remains: is this actually APL?** I feel like looking at it now, I may have an inch to go. Thanks!

The trick is putting a towel under your armpits and if your hair touches the towel then you are apl, it's hard to tell when the pictures are too close up.

Water intake really does help. It seems like such a simple thing, but I really noticed a difference in my growth rate and how my hair felt once I started making sure I drank enough water each day.

Just realized today that my (wet) hair is about halfway down my bra band. It's amazing how much length I lose when it's dry; my dry hair doesn't even brush the top of the band.

Thanks for the confirmation, angel-baby. The more I drink, the more I can drink. The opposite is true, too. Gah!
