Unhappy Just discovered that there are interest groups and now I'm sad they're all dead

Hey! I'm newish here and just barely got the permission level to be able to see people's profiles. One thing I noticed almost immediately was that each profile page lists groups that the person is a part of. I didn't remember hearing about that and so I clicked on a few of the groups that I would also be interested in, only to be sad when the vast majority of them have had no activity in years or, if not, only one or two posts recently. I was never around when these were very active, but I can imagine how cool they would be, and I'm kind of sad that side of this site seems to have died. I wonder if a revival of some sort would be possible.

We have been having problems with the site (photo uploading not working, security certificate expiring, people having trouble getting access to the site with some computers or phones) the last few months, so there have been a lot fewer posts and visitors than there would normally be.
We are all hoping the problems get fixed soon, so perhaps you might find the other parts of the site pick up again. Here's hoping.

Some of the sites where people uploaded and saved pictures changed their TOS and became "pay only" or some such, so those pictures vanished. It's annoying, but that's the internet for you! That happened to several places I stored pics to share.

Far as I know it is still acceptable to resurrect a "dead thread" if you want to post in it. Things get lost because the site gets big and then things get re-found. That's kinda fun.
Opting out of Friend Requests, thank you very much!

I agree and it doesn't help that the site population has shrunk lately with social media taking over from forums. It's easy to forget about a portion of LHC or to have it become less active.

There are many threads in the off-topic subforums corresponding to the topics of the groups. Perhaps take a browse over there.
