I have so many different (house) cleaning products I need to use up. None of them please me much, so I buy new different ones, and.... I guess I'm just a slob, I dislike cleaning, and I want *magic* cleaning products that work and stay worked for a while. The ritual of daily cleaning sours my outlook on life. I'd rather take a nap.

I agree 100%, embee, it is incredibly difficult to get up any enthusiasm for housecleaning. Yes, I've tried buying new products, too, I even tried buying 'old' products; the older traditional ones like liquid furniture polish instead of a spray can and the older type floor cleaner with ammonia. Even that couldn't get me motivated.
The best idea I remember was in a TV episode of Pippi Longstocking where she strapped a couple of scrubbing brushes to her feet like ice skates and tipped a huge wooden bucket of water on the floor, and off she went skating her floor clean.
