Default A winter hat for bun-wearers!

    Hi all!
I wasn't sure where to post this, but I just had to share!!

This definitely isn't what I was expecting from this crochet tutorial either, but the result is made for long hairs who want to wear both buns, and a hat in winter, presumably without messing up their hair!

This is so CUTE!! (Skip to the end of the tutorial to see what it is, she always does this because sometimes she actually doesn't have a clue what the result will be, so she keeps us in suspense the whole time as well.. lol)

(Sorry if this has been posted previously, I couldn't spend time to try to figure that out.)

It's like an open-back bonnet! That is super cute; I should design/research a knitted version.

(I learned to crochet as a kid and made a few deformed washcloths, then moved into knitting and never looked back.)

That lady has the most lovely voice, my goodness.
Wishing you all love, joy, and peace!

I think it would be fairly easy to devise a knitted version, especially if you know how to do a ruffle.

I did the same as you, and used to vastly prefer knit over crochet, however my views have changed in the past few years. First due to an injury that made knitting pretty much a no go for me, so I started to re-visit crochet, but then I watched a video that changed how I look at it entirely, as it was on the subject of why a crochet machine STILL cannot be created. (SO FASCINATING)

From there I just went further and further into what crochet can be, and have looked into all the things that are being done with modern crochet styles, and knitting seems like the more boring art form to me now. I NEVER would have thought it possible, but now I don't know if I will go back..lol

And yes, sometimes I just watch her videos as a soothing straight up tool for getting myself out of stress, or a bad mood. Lol.

I've redeveloped an interest in crochet, too. I learned before I was a teenager but gave it up for decades. I never could knit. Holding an even tension was impossible for me. There are ways to accommodate that in crochet.

That's so cute! I've been wanting to re-learn how to crochet and this just gives me another reason!

I've made crochet bun hats before I wear them every winter! They're really nice when you wear your hair up but work outside and want to be warm.
