Not new, really, but it’s been a Long Time!

I just thought I’d better stop in and re-introduce myself. It’s been more than 10 years since I was here, and I sure missed you all. I had tailbone length hair when I was here last, but family illnesses and whatnot made me realize that wasn’t going to be very convenient(lots of getting up in the middle of the night to rush to the hospital), so I cut it back to shoulder length. With one thing and another, I wound up keeping it at that length for the next ten years and pretty much ignored it.

This year it was my turn to be the “medical emergency”. Skin cancer, all better now, but it took two surgeries to get there. In the process I was French braiding my hair to keep it out of the surgeon’s way and discovered that I really missed braiding! Luckily it had been awhile since I’d cut it so it was down to almost bra strap length, so plenty long enough. Anyway, it made me miss having long hair, so here I am, back on the journey.

I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s journeys again, and maybe even seeing a familiar face or two.
