    Go for it. There aren't any hair police (though the need occasionally surfaces ... I didn't say that did I?). I've "lost" my scissors for nearly a year and a half now and my hair is looking pretty great if I do say so myself.

    Of course it's okay. It's your hair, you can do whatever you want with it.

    It'll all come down to your hair, how prone to split-ends it is, whether you're doing anything damaging to it, etc. Some people can definitely go years between trims, others can't. I can't, so I trim fairly regularly- every few months or so.
