Hair accessories color for special occasions

Before henna, I would have picked silver (or a pretty natural wood colour), now with henna I'm all about the gold!

Well, family get togethers are special to me because they only happen once a year or less. For that, the hair accessory would probably be in a color contrasting my outfit. However, for something more formal I would choose silver with a sparkly quartz stone or black with a semi-precious gemstone for a splash of color, like turquoise or amethyst.

I have Ficcares in all colors, so I might pick one to match or coordinate with my outfit, but for a special occasion I'm more likely to pick my gold leaf Superclip, AB crystal Maxima, or Tortoise crystal Primavera Maxima. I would love, love to have a silver (or gold) Superstar Maxima as well (I have the small ones in both gold and silver and I adore them, but would love a medium or large one).
So maybe "bling" or "glitter" would be color of choice

Most of my hair sticks are dark brown or haircolor, but I have one with a golden ball on the top which I consider pretty dressy.

I do have pretty dark hair, so that's probably part of it, but I've always found white hair accessories to be so elegant.

This thread has made me realise I need more coloured hair accessories - until now I've always just stuck with brown to match my hair, but it doesn't have to be that way!
