Hello! I am new here and this is my first post. I do have long hair - BCL, brown, and wavy/curly/frizzy depending on where - and so have seen some of the threads from here bouncing around the internet, but decided to join after hearing Jill Bearup (a YouTuber who is a stage combatant and author) talk about her own membership, specifically with regards to why she often has a "cheese" option on her own YouTube polls. It made me laugh and I do love cheese and have long hair, so I figured I'd better join.
Thus far it has not disappointed.
I am hoping to grow my hair out to mid-thigh/fingertip length (at least), and my biggest obstacles are that I do get split ends kind of a lot (S&Ding and also singeing keep that in check, but I do have some pretty serious fairytale ends because of them) and also I have so many baby hairs. Like it's kind of ridiculous at this point. And, since my hair is textured, the frizz is real. Sometimes I can spray the ones around my face with water (or steam them) so they curl up all cute and then I like it, but mostly I don't bother.
I love the U-shaped hairpins, and I use them almost every day. Mostly it's cinnabuns for me. I'm kind of boring that way. I do always get comments/compliments when I leave my hair down, but it tangles so fast that I really don't like doing that.
Getting a TangleTeezer a few months back changed my life. Also, I just got myself some very, very fine-tooth combs (like a nit comb) and that's been great.
Anyway, that's probably enough for now, but I'm excited to get to know some of you. Stay cheesy, y'all!
