    Default Hello!

I'm jennie! Omg! It feels like I've got the never ending battle of growing out my hair! I'm a vegetarian so I'm wondering if that plays a big part. I am taking those sugarbear hair vitamins
Omega. I'm currently wearing extensions that are coming off soon
Any GOOD home remedies anyone can share that helped with growth etc. I'm desperate.

Hey there, welcome to LHC! I was actually a vegetarian for years and grew all the way to knee-length, so there is definitely hope for you! There are lots of vegetarians/vegans here, too, so I'm sure you'll get a lot of good advice!

How long is your hair right now? What's your texture like? (Wavy? Curly? Straight? Coarse, fine, medium?) Are you having any particular hair/scalp issues? (Recent/new shedding? Recent/worsening condition of hair/scalp?)

There's a whole lot of hair troubleshooting that can be done, but it might help to narrow it down some and you'll get better advice

Hi, welcome here! My best tips for hair growth are gentleness to your hair (no heat tools), very little in the way of trimming, and patience. A good diet, too. Gelatin is very good, but you likely won't want that. When I use it I mix some powdered gelatin into a cup of tea and drink that. Anyway, happy hair growing! Oh, and do all you can to protect your ends from tangling and breaking (protective styles, a silk pillowcase or sleep cap).

Welcome! Being a vegetarian is not a problem for growing hair.

    I'm a lacto-ovo-vegetarian (meaning that I eat vegetarian + egg and milk).

Any diet that's very limited can be a problem not matter if meat is included or not. If you're unsure, a blood test is the best way to go, to make sure if and if so, what you're lacking.

As for growth. It's better to focuse on taking care of and keeping what is actually growing out. Being kind to your hair is the best and fastest way to growing it out.

Can you be more specific regarding how you're struggling with your hair? For instance, do you notice that your hairs are breaking at some particular distance along the shaft, or splitting, or some other definable thing?

Regardless, welcome to the forum : )

Drink water, do light aerobics and eat eggs. I don't know if vegetarians can eat eggs but you do need at least those. Tying up your hair daily, protects it makes it grow really fast.

An ovo-vegetarian eat eggs. But no, you do not have to eat eggs. They do not contain anything that you can't get from other foods.

I'm only asking because I'm curious: why do you eat the eggs (as a vegetarian) if you can get the same nutrients from other foods? Is it just because you love eggs?
