A guy friend whom I no longer talk to (unrelated) said I should never cut my hair (this was when it was shoulder length). Was almost tempted to just out of spite but I refrained!
Additional stupid question... (and if you don't like women who try to enlargen the group of men who are interested in them with long hair, maybe better not read further... )
Have you noticed a difference in amounts of attention between when your hair is just longish (to the shoulders or bsl) and when it's really long (waist or hips)?
Because I think I noticed here a huge difference, but I need an affirmation I'm not just imagining it (or then that I am ). Also because I've heard guys saying that it doesn't matter if woman's hair is to shoulders or to hips, but to me this doesn't seem to be true. My hair has been longish all my adult life, but growing hair to hips still changed a lot, I think. Even decades younger guys started to share attention on some level (looking at me, friendliness, talking, helloing).
So my feeling is that the amount of attention you get from men is directly proportional to the length of your hair, of course up to a certain limit (I don't have any experience with hair up to the knees, and it's unlikely that I will have that with my hair quality, and anyway, my own goal is just the tailbone or hips, which goal I've already achieved).

Saw this story about long hairs and I was so maaaad
100%. I'll have to add my hair journey in the blog. The pic in my avatar is from about 12 years ago. Soft lovely hair. I've been through chemo. Was never fully glossy dome bald. I was peach fuzz no hair. And now I have the most amazing LONG tresses in the world. Will have to measure it because it's the longest it has EVER been.
Men LOVE my hair. BTW, lol, (I'm straight) so do other women because my hair looks AMAZING. Men definitely respond to my LONG tresses. I'm happy with that because I LOVE MY HAIR! nothing like losing it all in to move from hair luving to Hair Obsessed! lol.

My hair's only been longish, never super long (since I won't go any longer than WL, since if I'm sitting on it, it's too long, or at least it is for me), and it's the women that comment on it, rarely the men. Mom doesn't understand why I like my hair long, but I had short hair all through grade school and probably just got tired of it. Also, losing one's hair to chemo can change your perspective, so there's a good chance I'll never go short ever again, since I got so sick of the "you look so cute with short hair" comments when I was growing it back. I had to respond by saying that I didn't like it and I was growing it back long again.
Unlike other Cancer survivors, I didn't track my hair growth rate (except in my head, never on paper and didn't take any pictures, since I was more concerned on getting healthy again), so I have no "hair journey" pictures to show (I rarely take pictures, since most of the pictures I've shared on here are old pictures, nothing recent, except for the hair typing photos). The only thing I track is my water intake and I do that with free printables so that I can recycle it at the end of the month and print out another.
I'm more obsessed with fandoms (and technology) than my hair, I just didn't like that I had to lose it during chemo (it was the only part of my Cancer treatment that I didn't like. I was fine with everything else. The only thing I didn't lose was my eyebrows and eyelashes, everything else fell out).

Stupid answer alert: My husband has long hair, and he gives me an EXCELLENT quality and quantity of attention so I would say definitely YES!
