Usually in the middle of the day, so I have time to do a heavy oil mask, then a long shower, with enough time for my hair to dry. Good thing I only wash it that extensively once a week!
Evening to avoid the morning rush. I can take my time and enjoy the process.

I do early evening, ideally, to have time to air dry. I'm the type to wash the day off of me, so it's my preferred shower time. If I have to shower later and it's too close to bed, and when it's cold weather, I hold my hair like a very loose pony and dry just the roots on a low blow, with a warm setting, careful not to make tangles.

Usually in the afternoon. I plan my wash days around my husband's days off and my kids' schedules. That also gives me time to prepare my hair concoctions.

If my day is free I love a morning/noon hair wash. Other than that, I wash my hair around 8pm - 9pm. This is me being organized though. Sometimes I am not aware how fast time goes and I end up having to wash my hair midnight. Especially if I really really need clean hair the next day...
Early morning, as soon as I get up. It's the only way I can get myself out of bed lol!
When I was in college I would wash it in the late evenings. Like, around 5:00PM or 6PM, and it only took 2 hours for it to air dry. Then, I would blow dry it using heat for only 5 minutes like what I'm doing nowadays. But as of these days I wash it every morning between 9:30AM to 11:00AM bc that gives me enough time to do all kind of oil treatments and deep conditioning treatments.

I used to wash it right before bed, before realizing that was.. not good. Now I wash it at least two hours before, giving it time to fully dry.
When I have a weekend day when I'm not going out, I try to get my hair washed by 10am so it's dry by dinner. If I don't, I wash it in the evening and drape it over the side of the bed to dry and it's usually done by after breakfast.
