Does anyone remember me?

Hi there, returner here.

I have had hair of all different lengths in my life but my long hair journey really started in 2012 when I buzzed it to start fresh and donated my hair. I reached hip in 2016 then cut off to chin to donate again (I do NOT think other people should be told to donate, it was just something I wanted to do) and started growing again. I donated again in 2019, and started growing again from chin but I had a terrible shed following surgery and so it took a long time and a lot of trims to get back to where I am now.

I've decided I won't be donating again and am growing just for me this time. I'm currently at waist and you can see a picture on my profile. I've just reached the point where I can do a lazy wrap bun and am excited to see how long my hair can get this time.

In terms of routine I am very low maintenance. I wash and condition once or twice a week and wear my hair up every day except for when it's drying. I'm a benign neglect kind of girl.

A little about me, I am 42 and live in Worcestershire, England with my husband, labrador and two cats. I'm glad to be back on LHC and see familiar faces and new names!

So you've donated THREE times?! That's amazing. I've also considered donating, but I don't know if my hair would be accepted as hairdressers always point out that my hair is dry.. Working on that! Good for you, deciding to finally grow it for yourself. You've accomplished your mission, donating more hair than I probably will
