So, I have very curly hair that is at waist length. My ultimate goal is hip or classic length and I have been on my length journey for over 6 years and I am just not where I wish to be.
I also have an issue with the crown area of my hair. It痴 very sensitive (the scalp) and it is also significantly shorter than the rest of my hair. It is around 15.5-16 inches compared to the rest of my hair. Anyone experienced this issue and have any advice? I知 at a loss of what to do.
What do you mean by sensitive? Sensitive to products? Tender when you brush/style? In any case, I'd have a look at your routine. Are you doing styles that put stress on the crown? Does it rub against a hat or something else during the day? There could be many reasons, including old damage.

Welcome! I agree that it would help to know what you meand with sensitive and to look over your current routine.

Welcome! If you're already at waist length, I'd say that you're well on your way!
It's common that the hairs on your head are different lengths, but if you're worried, I would try to consider whether you're applying mechanical damage to that section of your hair on a regular basis. Are you always wearing a pony tale at the same point of your scalp? Do you vary your protective styles? How do you dry your hair? Do you sleep with your hair loose and rub against the pillow?
Looking forward to growing towards classic with you! We're at about the same length

I will definitely check her out thank you 😊
It痴 tender when I brush and style. Even if I知 doing a scalp massage it痴 very tender. I try not to do any damaging styles. I mainly use hair claws, sticks and forks. I don稚 put them directly at the crown area either.
Sensitive to the touch and when styling, washing, or when I detangle. My routine is to detangle with conditioner then wash my hair and detangle in the shower . I will then put some moisturizer in my hair twist it up and let it dry overnight. If I try to blow dry at all my curls are lost and it痴 just a frizzy mess.
Some sensitivity can be normal but my first thought is that maybe you're reacting to a product you're using.
