    Guessing I'm a 3, up to 6 or 7 at the ends.

Awwww what a lovely thick long braid. Mine is nowhere near yours, it must take a hot minute to plait it all the way.
I don't usually bother plaiting to the ends as long as I can bun it up, it's good to go.

I don't really like putting filter over my photos, I just have a photography studio-like lighting set up. For this photo set, I have six lamps from various angles to make it shine. My dark hair just seem blue under all the lighting.
Here's a bundrop I made today, no filter, no special effect, just some music: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqMde...d=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

I find it hard to judge. The lightest shades are all so different in different pictures. Some seem to put level 10 as white and others a light blonde. I think the darkest parts of my roots are a level 9 or maybe an 8. My hair easily lightens to a light pale yellow just from being outside in sunlight.

    This photo is from 2019.

Thanks, Bat. My hair has not been colored since some time in the 1950s, and now is multicolored - dark - going gray - going white in places, so there's not a "level" one can really point to any longer.

Solgave, I want to see what Bat thinks, but that looks like level 10 to me. The brightest platinum, with a pale yellow tone rather than a silver or white tone. Some of my cousins had this color as teens, and it darkened to a level 9 as adults. Iím gonna go hide in my 7.5 blondish corner now, next to you I would not be a blonde! Itís beautiful!

My greys are taking over rapidly they just don't show well in photos it's why I want to try and get to chin+ at least before I dye it again it's my last chance to get somewhat of an idea of the level of my brown hair

Thanks! It doesn't take too long to do a single braid, but the time required increases exponentially as the number of braids goes up

Hmm ok. Some charts only define black as 1 and in others black goes up to 2. I'd call my natural colour dark brown, wherever that falls.

    I would say you're a 5 on up to 7.
