Which herb so far has given you the greatest shine and slipperiness?

Sure thing! Fenugreek seed is a very "classical" spice in Egyptian cooking, really reminds me of home and of my grandparents' place : ) It is lovely to carry that smell along in my hair.

So do we actually need only the flowers from this catnip?.. this other grass didn't do much to my hair...

From my experience of using catnip on my hair and from what Ktani's research said, it is the combination of flower buds, leaves and stems that produce the best results for hair ie slip and conditioning. Using only leaves and stems would not be as conditioning as using stems, leaves and flowers buds. Using flower buds on their own wouldn't work.

I've been dying to ask... those of you who use catnip and have cats, how does that go? I do have catnip (and a cat) around and would love to try it on my hair but don't want to end up with the cat on my head lol

I haven't used an individual herb, but I love Faerie Dust from Nightblooming on Etsy. It's a mix of several herbs.

I used to have a cat who wanted to groom my hair if it was dirty or wet. Definitely a strange feeling! I guess she wanted to mother me.
