Default "hello" I'm new, so basically I thought I knew hair things but I was wrong.

Hello everyone. I'm obviously new. My current hair is currently grazing mid bra snap area I think. I haven't really checked how long it is in a while . I have straight fine hair . I want to learn how to grow it out longer and thicken it , I also had no idea about pulling it back from the front hair line causing alopecia in that area so, will be learning styles to protect my hair from that . I'm excited to learn from all of you . Thank you for having me!

Just FYI (if you knew already please just ignore )... You can't thicken your hair, you are born with just so many follicles and that's what you get for the rest of your life. If, however, your hair has thinned due to sickness, breakage, or other issues, then *YES* you can definitely thicken it back up (if it's not too stubborn LOL).

    Anyway, welcome!

Howdy! In my experience, the easiest way to avoid tension stress is to vary the way you style your hair. Styles usually aren't inherently damaging, but mixing it up will give your scalp/hair a "rest" from being stressed in a certain position all the time.

Hi, welcome here! As long as your updos aren't tight or pulling on your scalp hair you should be able to wear your hair pulled back safely daily ( if you want to) with no problem. I do - but of course it's up to you
