Welcome here!
My hair is fine, slightly wavy toward the ends and ~shoulder length (2a/f/i is my guess). I was able to get it an inch or two past my shoulders at its longest a few years ago, but I had to get a trim for split ends, which took off much more of my length than I was expecting and set me back by a lot.
I have always wanted long hair to my mid-back at least, so now I've decided to go for it. I usually shampoo/condition once or twice a week, I've stopped using heat on it for the past few months, and I'm being much more careful how I go about brushing. Still, my hair grows so slow, and I feel like 15 more inches is going to take a lot of time.
I'd like to look into trying oils, but otherwise I'm pretty vague on what will be best for getting more length. Since I've stopped using heat, I've noticed my hair doesn't break as easily as it used to, so I feel that is progress!
I will be exploring the forum for ideas, but I'm open to tips if anyone has a similar hair type as I do.![]()

welcome I'm new too.
Howdy, good to meet you! Quitting heat tools is a great step if you've been struggling with length retention in the past. Hope it keeps working well for you!
Hi BunBunni, I have super fine hair and also have the problem of it seemingly growing very slowly, but very often, it is not slow growth, but perhaps not being able to keep the ends healthy so they don't keep breaking off. But welcome here!
BSL -> MBL -> WL (almost) -> Hip->TBL!
