Default What do you do with your hair on those busy weekday mornings?

I must wake up very early and take my kid to daycare and then go to my own work... And now in winter time I need a hair do that I can keep under a hat. And if it's not so cold, a hair band. But many times I feel I don't have any time for my hair in the morning... when it comes to beautification, putting on a makeup already takes enough time. Horrible but many times I just go to work with my night braid. It would take far too long to brush my hair clear without tearing it, and make a beautiful hairdo in the morning. Or that's how I feel. That's why I'd like to get some ideas from other people. 🤔

I just throw my hair up in a lazy-wrap bun without brushing it. I think what you’re doing sounds fine if you’re cool with it and don’t specifically want to do something different. Or you could look into overnight hairstyles that you take down in the morning, such as heatless curls.

I put my hair in a quick bun, usually a top knot. Gets it out of my way too! Takes about 2 minutes, start to finish. One thing that cut time was to quit with makeup. Maybe lipgloss, that's enough. I wear glasses, no point in eye makeup.

As its not yet an inch long I just put a hat on it. That's probably going to be the case for the next year or two while I wait to be able to ponytail it with a scrunchie.

Most buns are very quick, so if I need to get my hair out of the way and get my arse in gear, that's what I do. The gibralter bun is my favorite because it holds like the rock of and is comfortable, too. I have a loose style of hat that accommodates my buns perfectly well. I think it's called a tam.

Most buns that can be held with a hair stick or fork or claw are so quick, I don't comb just wrap wrap wrap and stab it with something and go. For hats, I either wear a big brimmed hat with a low nape bun or a loose knit cap that fits over hair toys. Warm headbands that cover the ears are another cold weather option. Actually, there is a large thread for winter hat/hair discussion you might like.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*

A fast bun is my go to! It's so convenient I don't do anything else.

I like to do buns one week and keep my hair in braids the next week. With braids, I’ve found that it’s better to keep my hair in that braid for days at a time without undoing/redoing it because it really limits tangles. Frizz isn’t too bad with multiple braids (ex: 3 braids braided into one big braid). I don’t think it looks bad at all, it’s just a matter of learning more styles and figuring out what feels good to me.

French braids are my go-to if I have a couple minutes to spare. If I have no time at all, claw clip!
