Products I WANT to Use-Up 2023

Okay... I know this may seem a bit redundant, but I think that it would be helpful to keep a list of things you plan to use up. This way you can keep track of what you're using, in what order, and track your progress for how much you've used up and how fast you use products up!


THE RULES

1. List your products by category (Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in, Serums, Creams, Butters, Gels, Oils etc.)
2. In each category, list which product you want to use up first (I want to use this shampoo up before this new shampoo I bought), you can list more than one item
3. Add the weight/volume of product (ml or oz)
4. When did you buy it? (spring, summer, fall, winter, or what month/year?)
5. Update monthly (if you'd like) or every 2-4 months
6. (Optional) Add the price you paid (you can say whether you bought it on sale or just put the original price)
7. (Optional) List by when you think you'll use the product up (in a week? in 2 months? by summertime? end of year?)


You are also welcome to post progress pictures of how much product you used up each month! Whether that includes the product with a line for each month or the product's weight on a scale.
If you buy a new product, just copy & paste your list with the new product added to the list.
Other products are welcome but please focus on haircare!

This will go on until December 31st, 2023!! At the end of the year, you are welcome to do an overall summary of the products you used. Did you use the products in the amount of time you thought you would? Did it take less time or longer to finish a product? And what are your plans for 2024?

1x25ml Aveda botanical repair - will finish in 2-3 more uses
1x 473ml Eden Bodyworks almond marshmallow repair mask

Leave-In
1x 200ml Aveda nutri-plenish - only 3-5 more uses
1x 180 ml L'Oreal ever sleek creme - only 3-5 more uses
1x 8oz Kinky Curly knot today - less than half left, maybe 6 more months?
1x 240ml Mielle white peony

Cream
1x 1oz Living Proof curl definer
1x 240ml Camille Rose moisture milk

Gel
1x 355ml Camille Rose curl maker - hopefully by end of year

Oil
1x 115.3ml Pattern jojoba oil - hopefully by end of year

My stash is still way too big to list, but I will be working through it according to the following logic.

1. From older to newer.
2. From heavier to lighter (as bleach grows out more and more). Also extras such as leave-ins.
3. The rest!

I mainly want to use up my shampoo my hair seemed to like conditioner only but it would be a waste to just throw them I'll list the Shampoos when I get some time

I’m only doing the ones I want to use up bc they’re okay but not great (Briogeo, scalp scaler) or because I like them but want to try something similar but different (masks, olaplex). Otherwise I do tend to use up all my products, and just buy the same things on repeat like I know I’ll use up my oils from The Innate Life, and my Olaplex shampoo/conditioner/leave-in and buy them again bc I love them.

I had double this amount of Faith In Nature products last January, having bulk-bought a stash of Lemon and Tea Tree shampoos and conditioners (they are now discontinued.) So I think I done pretty well in 2022 when it came to using up my stash without making new purchases.
