Kiwi rapunzel finally here to say hello!

Hello from Middle Earth ! Long time lurker here, who has finally plucked up the courage to join LHC and say hello! I have been growing my hair for the past 10 years, starting around shoulder length and currently sitting about 1-1.5cm below knee.

My end goal is calf length but my main priority is the health of my hair. I began 2022 at around 1.5cm past my knee however the ends were whispy and not the healthiest after a few years hanging on to the length! At the end of January I cut off a whopping 4 inches to maintain the health of my hair. I look to begin 2023 around 3cm past knee with no whispies, and therefore no regrets!

10 years ago LHC gave me the wakeup call I needed to start looking after my hair. I'm older now, and somewhat wiser, so would love to start putting back into a community that unknowingly gave me so much support and advice all those years ago. I maintain my hair health and growth using a mix of carrier and essential oil sprays, mixtures and scrubs, ayurvedic herbs, tea rinses, rice water rinses, scalp massages, protective styles, inversion, and henna treatments for colour and care.. so I know a little of this and that

Welcome! So good to hear what 10 years of growth can look like. I just posted my intro the other day but I'm planning on growing out my hair for a minimum of 10 years from September 2022. Currently hanging just above shoulders. Congrats on your 10 years of growth and the 4 inch chop that's allowing you to live your best hair life!
