Anyway, lemme start since I've already checked out some sales...:

    Tangle Teezer Scalp Brush [4,36€]
No, I think just making an annotation will be fine.

I mean I feel the difference in tightness now with the simple peacock twist I'm wearing... huge difference. So protective styles be damned! I am attributing it to bunning, could be peri-menopause too, but since the base seems as thick as ever/normal, I think something happened with my hair along the way.

I am happy with it, yes. I also cut a different layered style (ponytails to the side) and that's great. I mean if you guys are on my friends list (I think so), feel free to access my album (private album). I have a few front facing pics there! If not, just ask, I'll 9 out of 10 approve you!
I asked for a friend request, I'm so curious.

I worry about the thinning though, I have my hair in buns all the time, I think it's uncomfortable with my hair loose, flying everywhere.

Anyway, I'm happy that you're happy with your new length. I can imagine that it feels like freedom. Is it also much healthier?

It was healthy to start with, or so I thought, since I was a maintainer, so I basically always cut back to classic, in essence cutting 6 inches on average a year, so it was nice and healthy. I never did odd things to it that I know of. Yes I used a blow dryer, but on (comfortably) warm, and no more. I guess I should have bunned looser than I was doing because at the end of a week, I could feel it, boy could I feel it on my scalp. But the odd thing is, nothing is gone from the base (still over 4 inches), it's in my mid-section to the ends. Can't be peri-menopause either then. I just don't know what gives. And my signature picture... I mean, it's nice & thick, right? But you should see the ponytails I took off. 2 sharpie "thick" pony's. So thin. I just wonder how...

I understand what you say about the length and regret, I think I would react the same. I've also read posts on the other thread. This your situation makes me rethinking about the protective styles I use!
Your new cut looks fine, it encouraged the waves, isn't it?
    somewhere shorter than classic
