I'm in! No more trimming for 2023, lots of protective hairstyles and hoping to get back to hip length by the end!

I am going to join this. I'm more determined than ever to keep the scissors and clippers away from my hair. I'll be keeping it dark brown and growing.

My plan is no trimming for the rest of 2022 (I trimmed in the beginning of June) and then continue into 2023... till I reach FTL! That's my goal, so at that point I can trim regularily, which I am looking forward to. My ends still look completely fine and my hemline is still straight. I can feel my ends feeling a bit drier, but this is natural when I don't trim. Lapushka, out of curiousity, have you been a trimmer all along 'till you reached classic?

Nope. I grew without a trim from chin to hip, back to BSL, back to hip, to TBL, to classic, back to hip (November 2016), back to classic (May 2018 ). It takes years even without a trim, so trust me, I trimmed for nothing and nobody. LOL! Hence the start of these challenges, because I figured, might as well take people along for the ride, right?

Anyway, classic is where I maintain, love this length, so I stopped no-trimming and am maintaining my length.
WCC method (washing) --- Rinse-out oil (MO) --- LOC/LCO method (styling)

I see! I thought to myself that you must have had some experience not trimming since you start these challenges, but I knew you were a trimmer now since you've reached goal lenght. Sometimes I am really happy I don't have knee or terminal as my goal, since I like the thought of being able to trim and keep a nice, neat hemline eventually. I guess I look forward to routinely trimming and maintaining, no clue why, maybe it's just the routine of doing something. Lol. But I guess trying to grow to terminal has it's own joys....

I’ve been debating the last few days if I want to trim up next fall/winter. My original plan was to hit waist+ and get a teensy trim to even out my ends before going back into another couple years of no trims. But the last few days, I’ve been weighing if I want to blast on past waist and just say no to trims. So maybe I’ll join the challenge. I dunno!

    I think I’m in for 2023!

I have been planning a wee trim at the end of the year for awhile. It shouldn’t be more than an inch; I just want some fresh ends. I’ve successfully done this challenge for the past two years running (I know this year isn’t yet over but I’m in zero danger of impulsively cutting between now and Dec. whatever-the-date-it-is) but I’ve always joined the half-year challenge “just in case.” Pretty sure there isn’t a need for that at this point so here I am committing to the full year!

If things continue the way they have been going, I won’t trim again until 2025!
