Default Henna only on one part of the hair?

Hi! Has anyone ever tried henna on just your bangs, some sections, or the under part of your hair while leaving the rest natural/another color? I’m curious! If you have, please post a picture so I can see how it looks!

I had the opposite, henna head with black at the nape, also did pink at the nape once too.
I don't have pics anymore, my computer is corrupt and I lost everything.
The two tone looked good, especially the black

That's something I'm planning to do. I will for sure henna my ends for fun (I have kept my ends dyed (with Elumen) for quite a long time, but it's all virgin now and I just miss it) and maybe the underpart at my nape too...
I have heard the mermaids singing... and I do think that they will sing to me...

I've seen people do this! If you want to do a gradient, do it on wet hair and it'll wick a bit and give you a nice fade

For example, if you wanted to do just the ends of your hair for a dip-dyed look, you make a thin mud and apply to wet hair, then put the ends in a baggie. The dye-water will wick up the hair a bit so it's a fade rather than a hard line.

That's so cool, Nightshade! Can't believe I've never thought to do that in the years I've done henna.

Not my idea to be fair, it's one I read around here years ago!

That sounds great, thanks! With Elumen I went for a hard line and was happy with it, but if there's an easy way to have a mote fade style, I'm gonna give it a chance.
